Suno shipped v6 on September 9, 2026, and it is not just a version number. It is a new generation of music models, built together with the music industry: Warner Music Group, BMG and Believe. Suno is retiring its previous models and moving entirely onto v6, and within the first day the community was already making songs that sound nothing like the last generation.

First up: our first v6 song
The moment v6 went live, we ran our first prompt through Song AI Farm's Prompt Studio+. The old models are going away
Suno said it plainly: as v6 rolls out, the previous models will be retired and Suno will move entirely onto the v6 generation. If you have been saving prompts "for the old models", now is the time to migrate them.
The Believe story, and why it matters for you
The day before v6 shipped, Suno announced a global strategic partnership with Believe and TuneCore. Earlier this year, Believe said it would not distribute music made with models that did not meet its standards, and Suno's models were on that list. After what Suno describes as "many candid conversations", the two sides went further: Believe is now part of the new music models themselves, and tracks made with the industry-partner models become eligible for distribution through Believe and TuneCore. The deal adds audio watermarking and fingerprinting, new download limits, and upcoming opt-in artist revenue experiences, and it sits alongside Suno's existing work with Warner Music Group and BMG. In other words: the songs you make can now reach stores through one of the world's largest independent distributors.

We watched the Discover feed all day. These five tracks, all generated on September 9 with v6 — capture what the new generation is doing. They are embedded below, so you can listen without leaving the page.
1. Raymond, "Dancing With My Eyes Closed"

This is production-cue songwriting at its best. Raymond's sections are choreographed: [Driving Synth Bassline], [Syncopated Handclaps], [Four-on-the-Floor Kick] for the intro, then a [Full Energy Dance Drop] with an [Explosive Synth Lead] when the chorus lands, and the model followed every tag. 2. INJURY, "1nes and zer0s"
cave-pop · experimental · folk, "Cave pop enters the chat"
The counterpoint to all that energy: a 596-character lyric, sparse and haunting. "All my friends are / ones and zeros, / And I'm one / of the lonely ones", and a chorus that asks "Am I the one / or the zero?" It is the kind of image v6-wild seems to hunt for. 3. Polaris, "Iris"
lo-fi acoustic · bedroom pop, the launch window's quiet showstopper
Here is the track that proves v6's headline feature: the lyrics box contains four characters, "iris". The entire song comes from the style prompt: lo-fi acoustic bedroom pop with a dirty bassline, loose midtempo groove, intimate rap verses, a melodic sung hook, warm brass accents, dusty drums and close-mic'd vocals. 4. yamitsuke, "ice on the rim"
pop, cinematic R&B with a real breakdown/drop structure
"Ash on the dash, coffee gone cold", a full scene in four words, played completely straight. The song earns its [Breakdown] and [Drop] sections instead of faking them: every speaker hums when it turns up, "the whole thing breathes, then it pulls us under." Hook-first writing done right: "Bring your clap to the discotheque / in case the dj forgets." The idea was, in the creator's own words, "in my head for the longest time", and v6 turned that one-line joke into a steady four-on-the-floor groove with a pre-chorus that actually builds.
